Ana Belén Fernández Martínez ( Dpt. Of Systems Biology . Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences , Alcala de Henares) and M. Isabel Trabado Jimenez (CAI Medicine Biology, University of Alcalá) , have been awarded the prize “Best picture scientific 2014 ” , awarded by the Spanish Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology ( SEBBM ) .
The winning image was published in April 2014 and has been chosen by a jury from among the three most voted in the voting online through our web -site and attending the annual meeting of the SEBBM vote. The picture titled ” larvae hatching egg ” corresponds to cell line ( SK-OV-3) labelled with Cell Tracker Dil -I (red ) , for phospholipids ; phosphorylated Histone 3 serine 10 ( green ) and DAPI staining for nuclei ( blue ) .
